DUDUZA CRICKET CLUB
Affiliated to the Eastern Cricket Union
Established: 1993
HISTORY OF THE CLUB:
The club originated from Edalinceba Primary School where the founder/ chairman Douglas Sibali is an educator. Mr Sibali has made it his priority to take the learners off the streets and away from drugs. He started in 1987 with a small group of 11-year old children and slowly introduced them to the hard-ball format of cricket. Within a short space of time the sport rapidly grew from one team to many and the club has consistently produced players to represent the Union at the National weeks.
In 1993 the club was officially registered and the ECU has helped the club to firmly stand on its own. The club uses the wild dog as its emblem and its motto “Team work and unity in action” to represent the members working together but where each person has a clear role to play
